SIR,—May I call attention to the matinee which will be held next Friday on behalf of the National League for Physical Education P Mr. Alexander. always forward in good work,
has given his theatre. In the programme, which includes two new plays by well-known authors, the names of many of our ablest actors and actresses appear ; but I am anxious that the public should know how kind and ready has been the response of every one in the profession whose aid was invited. All were generously and genuinely interested in our work for the national well-being.—I am, Sir, &c., W. B. RxPosr.

Mr. Alexander, and the ladies and gentlemen of the drama who are supporting his generous effort, have done their part.
