Atlas of Canada, 1906. Prepared by James White, F.R.G.S. (Department
of the Interior.)—This volume contains eighty-three maps and diagrams, in which all details of geology, minerals, forests, telegraphs, railways, population, &c., are elaborately set forth. Here is a specimen. British Columbia has an area of 355,161 square miles, of which 2,439 are water. The population is 178,657, nearly two-thirds being males, and the whole being nearly equally divided between rural and urban. Altogether, the Atlas is a most valuable work, and reflects very great credit on the Department of the Interior and all concerned in its production.
