THE DISABLED OFFICERS FUND.
[To TUE Entree or THE "SPECTATOR.") Ste,—The question of pensions for officers disabled in the our has lately been discussed in the Press. The Committee of the Disabled Officers Fund therefore ask your assistance in bring- ing the following facts to the notice of your readers. The Disabled Officers Fund exists to relieve British officers whose cams do not muse within the provisions of the Royal Warrant and Order in Council governing the issue of pensions and gratuities for disablement, or those of the Special Grants Com- mittee, or of the King's Fund. The Disabled Officers Fund also supplements the grant made from these mums when the needs of the recipient are not fully met. 'Ihe Committee are fortunate in being able to work in co-operation with the official authorities and other voluntary agencies, thus avoiding the evil of overlapping. Hie Majesty the King has shown his interest and confidence in the work of the Fund by sending donation of .2500, and recently by presenting to it the suns of £1,924 Is. 9d., a gift placed at His Majesty's disposal by "A Loyal Subject of the King-Emperor's," who left it entirely to the King to decide to what object it should be devoted. Cheques should be made payable to the Disabled Officers Fund, and all contributions should be sent to the lion.
