THE BRISTOL COMMITTEE.-WC have received, in Common with several of
our contemporaries, a communication conveying to us the thanks of the Committee for our conduct in respect to the Bristol case. We are always gratified to receive the approbation of large and respectable classes of the community. Of the rectitude of our inten- tions we were fully conscious ; the vote of the Committee proves that our zeal has been properly directed as well as honest.
