Bar-stools
Sir: I heard niutiy yeas ago about the bar-stools in the yacht (Letters, 27 Au- gust), and the swot then was that the Greek owner (Niaichos or Onassis) asked his guest to guess what he was sitting on. Not surprisingly, he did not know, and was told that the stools wet e covered with the rarest material in the world, viz. whales' foreskins. I have always been under the impression that the guest was Alan Brien, but I may be wrong. It's woi th asking him, nevertheless.
