An Edinburgh correspondent has been polite enough to send us
some extracts from the _Edinburgh Courant, intended to enlighten us on " the other side " of the Annuity-tag, which he says we have overlooked. We are obliged to him, but may remind him that we have not overlooked any side of the question. The arguments of our contemporary have been quite familiar to us for many years, since they have been used to prop up a great variety of abuses analagous to the Annuity-tax, and their fallacy has been exposed over and over again.
