We have received a new edition (the fourth) of The

First Age of Christianity and the Church, by J. J. I. Dollinger, D.D., Translated by Henry Nutcombe Oxenham (Gibbings and Co., 6s. net). The first edition of the book appeared in 1866, the second in 186.7. The third was published in 1877, and was, by the author's desire, a reproduction of the second, though the trans- lator made some changes in his renderings. That now before us reproduces the third exactly.
