Tito in Academe
Sir: We are all right: Djilas fill, though he overstates his case, as is pardonable in one so much younger than the rest of us (13 March), Djilas pere, Sir Fitzroy Maclean, whom I quoted, and myself (3 April) and now the courteous (but barbarously trans- literated) Mr K. St Pavlowitch (17 April). I should, however, like to make just one point: whatever else he may have been, the late Field-Marshal Smuts was a racist; whatever else the late Marshal Tito may have been, he wasn't.
