A Dictionary of Commercial porrespondence : English-French, German, Spanish, and

Italian. (Sir Isaac Pitman and Sons. 7s. 6d. net.)—All words and phrases likely to be used in business correspondence are given here, alphabetically arranged, with their equivalents in the four European languages most commonly used in commercial matters. This dictionary is followed by tables of cardinal and ordinal numbers, and by letters which may serve as models, mutat:a mutanclis. Not the least important part of theso is the information given as to forms of courtesy. A Spaniard "kisses your hand," and when he writes to a lady "kisses her feet." But, then, in declining the petition of a Spanish beggar one says "For the love of God, excuse me, my brother."
