Early on Monday morning a Zeppelin dropped more than twenty

bombs on Ramsgate. The first bomb, which was of the incendiary type, passed through two floors of the' Bull and George' Hotel and exploded in the basement. Three visitors at the hotel were injured, and one of them afterwards died. The Zeppelin was chased by aeroplanes from Eastchurch and Westgate as far as the West Hinder Lightship. She was also attacked by naval machines off Nieuport, and is believed to have been severely damaged, as she was last seen mounting to a great height with her tail down.
