Several readers have inquired whether they could " adopt "

a necessitous family in Aberdare, and arrange- ments have been made for them to do so. We hope to return to this subject later. We publish several letters from Aberdare, among them one from two members of the Urban District Council. The writers advocate the setting-up by the Government of a technical Commission to investigate the possibilities for new industries in Aberdare and other towns in the South Wales coalfield. The miners feel their position acutely and are anxious that means of enabling them to work for their livelihood should be provided.
