In the meantime the Franco-Spanish offer of terms of peace

to Abdel-el-Krim stands. M. Painleve has made known what the terms are. He offers to the Riff and Jabala tribes " administrative, economic, and political autonomy under the reserve of the sovereignty of the Sultan and subject to the delegation of the Khalifa." It seems to us a practical and generously intended offer.
