Letters from Manchester this morning state that the riots in

that town were renewed on Wednesday. A large number of special con- stables were called out ; and some cavalry were in readiness to assist them, but were not needed. The outrages were of the same descrip- tion as on the previous day. Several men were taken into custody. A meeting of the Magistrates was held on Thursday, and instructions were issued to the parochial authorities to " pay immediate attention to every representation of distress."

The commercial state of Manchester is reprecanted as "gloomy in the extreme."
