The period of her Majesty's return to Holyrood Palace from Balmoral has not yet been intimated to the authorities here. We understand, how- ever, that it is probable the Court will not leave Bahnoral until about the 10t1; of October, should the present fine weather continue. Some altera- tions in Holyrocid Palace have yet to be effected ; and it is stated that instructions have been received at the office of her Majesty's Works in Edinburgh to make the necessary arrangements at the Palace for the re- turn of the Queen. The stay of her Majesty in Edinburgh is expected to be limited to one or two nights ; and wo believe it is quite uncertain at present whether a reception is to be held here this season.—.Edinburgh Courant.
