POTATO HARVEST
Lifting potatoes for storing is one of the autumn tasks before many gardeners. When the crop has been forked up it should be lett to dry for a couple of days, and if it is beim' put in a clamp and not stored indoors, there should be a good supply of insulating material in the form of straw or bracken so that the clamp will keep out the frost. It should be a' watertight as possible, and also given adequate ventilation or the crop will rot.
