Sir: Richard Lamb (Letters, 7 November), has still told us
nothing to nullify the first- hand evidence of Patrick Donner on the crucial point that we could not have with- stood an aerial Blitz before July 1940, but rather than have a protracted correspon- dence as with Alice von Schlieffen, perhaps we should now let these Donner and Blitz letters rest as a stalemate, with Richard Lamb clinging determinedly to a rather precarious salient.
