Eternal verifies
From Dr Margaret White, JP Sir: The Dean of St Paul's (December 7) accuses the general synod of the Church of England of not "facing up to the question" of the marriage in church of those who already have one living spouse. But that is just what they have
done, they've said 'no.'
I have little doubt that had they said 'yes' the Dean would have put this down to the work of the Holy Spirit. Their 'no' he puts down to the Archbishop-designate of Canterbury who Made what many people think the excellent point that diocesan Synods are not necessarily better at deciding irPortant doctrinal issues than theologians. The consensus of public opinion IS an unreliable guide to the eternal verities.
