The Guest

THOU who didst not scorn the Manger

.For Thy bed ; Thou who findest the world's Inn Still tenanted By self and pride, by passions thronged

And sin— No room for Thee within: Yet if Thou find some corner—

Though it be Cold and unswept and dark; Unfit

Especially for Thee—

Be born in us again ; then, stone by tone Hallow and fill our house, till we

Have room for Thee ,alone. JOHN S. 'ANNE_
