A December Spring
The springlike facts, as well as feeling, of this December seem to be far-flung. Apple growers complain that their trees are suffering from insomnia ; they refuse to rest and the sap flows. In some places fresh flowers have opened. Next year's rose shoots of climbing roses are already above the soil, and herbaceous plants putting out vigorous roots.
Mushroom records- grow. I gathered some on December 16th. .
