All the extracts are short and the list of authors contains such varied names as St. Thomas Aquinas, Charles Dickens, Thomas Hardy, St. Augustine, St. Juliana of Norwich, Quarles, Renan, and Turgenev. The book is prettily got up in a gilt dust cover, and will, we are sure, give great delight as a gift-book if bestowed with discretion.
