* * * On Tuesday the Cabinet of .Northern Ireland

met in Sir James Craig's house at .Streatley-on-Thaines, when it was decided that _though the offer to Mr. Cosgrave to settle the Irish Boundary- question by mutual consent 890 should be -kept open, the former decision not to appoint a member of the Boundary ,Commissiott must be main- tained. In a statement. issued -after the meeting it. was pointed out .that , the appointment of the Commission was in direct violation of the written pledge of Mr: Lloyd George, given when he was .Prime Minister. Mr. LlOyd George wrote : " Settlement must allow for full recog- nition of the existing _powers and privileges of the Parlia- ment and. Government of Northern Ireland, which cannot be abrogated without their consent."
