In announcing a record profit for the past year, Dr. P. G. Griffith, the chairman of Engineering Components, expressed the view that 1937 was an exceptional year, and that 1938 would be found to be the successor to 1936. Compared with 1936 he expected a regular advance, plus increased returns from several new lines of activity.
