The aspect of the present week might lead the heedless
observer to suppose the theatres less productive than they really are. Novelties are bursting forth, though they have not attained that visibility which alone secures historic existence. The Knights of the Hound Table, a five-act comedy, is "just going to begin" at the Haymarket ; and close upon it comes a new Adelphi drama, which by its title, 27e Marble Heart, points to the lilies de Marbre, that made so much noise at Paris a year ago. The St. James's Theatre, too, if promises be fulfilled, will be in great force next week ; when the arrival of M. Regnier, Madame Allan, and Mademoiselle Fix, will render the company one of the most complete that can be imagined.
