Sir: Auberon Waugh's absurd and endless ruminations about me and the Sunday Times are too inconsequential to bother refuting (Another voice, 13 March). But there is one factual matter, obviously of grave public importance to your readers, that needs to be corrected. Contrary to what he states I do shop, unprotected and often alone, in Marks & Spencer, and in Sainsbury's and Europa too. Thankfully, I have never yet bumped into Mr Waugh.
