Letters from Madrid of the 8th instant, received in Paris,

state that the decrees against the Liberals, which have created so much surprise, were obtained from the King by General CASTANOS, without the knowledge of ZEA. BERMUDEZ, and that their publi- cation has produced a schism in the Cabinet. This story wears rather an improbable air.

The Cortes are summoned by the King, for the especial pur- pose of confirming his daughter's right of succession to the throne.
