The Book of Common Prayer as Amended by the Westminster

Divines, A.D. 1661. Edited by Charles W. Shields, D.D. (Philadelphia : Claxton.)—Dr. Shields is a professor in Princeton College, New Jersey, and this edition of the Prayer-Book, differing in many respects from the one used in the Church of England, is also different from the one in use in the Episcopal Church of the United States. Whether it is used by the American Presbyterians or not hardly appears from Dr. Shield's historical and liturgical treatise at the end of the volume.
