Coalition Liberal candidate in the by-election for Sir Gordon Hewart's old seat at East Leicester emphasizing the need for " national- unity until the national emergency - is • past." " Extiemist- minorities," he said, " on either side advocate reaction on the one hand and revolution. on the other, but they represmit but a fraction of the nation." " Abroad," ho continued, " the nations must be brought to the temper of peace and to the reconstruction of the world's trade on the only sure foundation, the good of all the nations of the earth." Mr. Lloyd George invited the Leicester electors to pass a vote of confidence in the Coalition.
