Pennine AND Be First—That the claimant was not admitted by
the 31st
cusses. of July laat.
Second—That he had not resided within seven miles of the city, or borough, since the 30th of January last. Neither aliens, persons convicted of felony, bribery, or perjury, Commissioners and Officers of Excise, Customs, and Stamps, Tax-collectors (unless ap- pointed by Commissioners of Land. tax), nor persons in the Post office em- ploy, can legally vote for either counties or boroughs. Magistrates, and officers in the Thames and Metropolitan Police, cannot be voters in Hert- ford, Essex, Kent, Sorry, and Nliddlesex, and should be objected to. Let the notices of objection to improper voters be served as near the 25th of August as prudence will allow. Let no groundless objections be served ; but let every claimant or registered voter of Tory principles, to whom there are good grounds of ohjection, be carefully objected to. Be careful that the objector to county vote's is himself a registered voter or claimant. In cities or boroughs, that the oljector is himself on the list of voters.
Be particularly cautious that the notice, are correctly served, and that the service of the notices can be proved before the Revising Barristers; and that the place of abode of the objector be inserted in each notice.
