Sir Henry Lawson has reprinted as a sixpenny pamphlet his

instructive article on Our Army of the Future : the Need for Decentralisation, which we noticed on its appearance in the Nineteenth Century for March. It may be hoped that the New Army will free itself from the excessively minute control of Whitehall, which is very costly and promotes inefficiency by discouraging any sort of initiative.
