Sir: Paul Johnson claims that the Mail on Sunday is losing money. This is simply not true. The Mail on Sunday has been trading at a considerable profit for the last 18 months and will, in the financial year about to draw to its close, report a healthy seven-figure surplus. The middle market may be a quicksand but we at the Mail on Sunday are delighted to be able to report that we have disco- vered terra firma.
