Belfast has been agitated on the Sabbath question. It was proposed by one of the Town Commissioners for the supply of water, that the grounds of the waterworks should be open to the public on Sunday afternoon. This proposal was negatived only by the casting-vote of the chairman, after a six-hours debate.
Two fatal cases of hydrophobia are reported, in both instances attended with dreadful suffering. A boy has died at Limerick, and a young man at Portglenone.
