Lee. (Smith, Elder, and Co. 255. net.)—The publishers of this invaluable work have done well to supplement it with this epitome. It will supply, and more than supply, the place of the ordinary "Biographical Dictionary." It is far more copious, even in its abridged form, than any we know of. It is not every house that'catt afford, or every library that can accommodate, the sixty-six volumes of the Dictionary, but this may be welcome anywhere.
