British Birds, their Nests and Eggs, and How to Name
Them. By Walter M. Gallichan. (Holden and Hardingham. 7d. net.)—How many of our town-bred readers can name all, or even a decent percentage, of the birds which they see in a country ramble ? Mr. Gallichan's excellent little book, which can be slipped into a pocket, ought to be welcome to those who confess ignorance. It contains a description of the appearance and habits of all our birds, with rough but characteristic sketches.
