He concluded by propos- ing as a toast the cause of national and universal education. Mr. D'Eyncourt, when his health was proposed, alluded to the retirement of Mr. Hutt from the representation of Hull, and urged the company to make exertions to retain him. The proceedings at this dinner are said to have given fresh spirit to the Liberal party at Hull.
