Mick Tracy, the Irish Scripture - Reader. By "W. A. C.," of
Canada West New and revised edition. (Simpkin, Marshall, and Co.)—The author assures us in his preface that this is a true story, so we suppose we must believe that a Romish priest tried to allay the doubts of a Maynooth student, who would of course have access to the Vulgate, by grossly perverting Romans sly., 23. To those persons, however, who like an Irish story avowedly written to "exhibit Popery as the Mystery of Iniquity" the book may be recommended. It is a story pleasantly told by a rabid Orangeman, and illustrated with wood-cuts, of which those representing landscape deserve some praise.
