CHRYSANTHEMUMS
When it is intended to take cuttings from chrysanthemums the 'stools' should be brought into the greenhouse and covered with an inch or so of mulch to encourage suitable young shoots. When the cuttings are taken they should be set in a compost of leaf-mould, sharp sand and fibrous loam in equal parts, with a dusting of sieved wood ash added.
