Grapefruit Hall

Jam grateful for the anxious inquiries .which followed the announcement (in last week's Spectator) that I was recovering from injuries sustained at a health farm. It has been generally supposed that I have been suffering either from Jogger's Blight or from straightforward withdrawal symp- toms. Neither: I found myself 'stretched on the rack of a too easy chair', and fused my back. Such are the hazards of Grapefruit Hall. I was pleased to see that the Financial Times, showing a news judgement not always to be found in its City coverage, copied the Spectator's bulletin. I was less sure, though, about the FT's choice of headline: `Water Torture.'
