Messrs. Stanford's new map of The Pacific Ocean (4s.) is
a good piece of work, serving to illustrate the problems which will have to be faced at the Washington Conference. It shows the land masses round the Pacific, from Behring Strait to Ross Sea, and it indicates clearly the political distribution of the many small islands and groups of islands which are scattered over the- vast ocean. Cables, British consulates, and wireless stations are marked.
