The Study of the Weather. By E. H. Chapman. (Cambridge
University Press. 3s. t3d. net.)—This little book, illustrated with many photographs and maps, is intended partly for school- boys and partly for the general public. It is elementary but it is lucid, and, despite the Englishman's love of talking about the weather, we are sure that Mr. Chapman has not over- estimated the public's ignorance of meteorology. Nothing oould be better as an introduction to an important subject.
