issue of May 4, delivers herself of gem-like points and issues which bespeak the attitudes of the Quebec Conservative.
Her passing mention of Ontario is far too brief and inaccurate to indicate with clarity the situation as it applies in this province.
She declaims categorically, 'Ontario will stay Tory.' Is this perhaps wishful thinking? No other explana- tion seems reasonable when one accepts the over- whelming evidence of Ontario's complete (or very nearly) disillusionment with the Diefenbaker administration, As June 18, the fateful day, approaches, more and more national attention is being focused on this province. All parts of the country are engaging in the old political ploy of `fence-sitting'• as they wait to see how the industrial heart of the country is going to go. Ontario is not to be dispose) of with one short arbitrary sentence. There is a question remaining here. Perhaps if Miss Chapin cared to risk a traumatic experience and ventured beyond the environs of Montreal her certainties would be shaken enough to let in a bit of light and air.
