Of course, the syn- thesis is to be with the 'new' Marxism, btu there is.i. no Marxism. new, old or middle-aged that is not atheistic. Christian Marxism is a contradiction in terms. In the same issue a contributor describes the Eucharist as 'a commodity' and the priest officiating at Benediction as a 'capitalist.' At
Spode House (a DomMican plant) a lecturer said that to meet with the contemporary world Christians
would have to discard Christ. I daresay it is possible that Fr McCabe or Fr Bright might think this was going rather too far, but it is only an extra and logical step along the Marxist road.
