I. Pitman and Sons. 3s. 6d. net.)—This volume is described as " A Handbook for All who Take an Interest in the Questions of the Day." The information is conveniently arranged in alpha- betical order. Here are some examples. "Adoptive Acts" (these are Acts which a Parish Council is able to take as though immediately referring to itself, as, e.g., the Burial Acts and the Public Libraries Act) ; "Corrupt Practices," useful just now, as informing a candidate and his agents what he may not do. The volume runs to four hundred and thirty-eight pages, and seems, as far as we have been able to examine it, complete as well as correct.
