The gigantic statue of the King of Bavaria is now
placed on the hill of Sainte Theresa, near Munich. The bronze of the statue has coat 92,600 florins, or 11,800/. The students and artists of Munich gave, a few days ago, a grand dinner to M. Miller, director of the royal foundry, by whom the statue was executed. The health of King Louis, who suggested the statue; and the memory of M. Schwanthalerg (now dead), who designed it, were given. The statue has taken eight years to east, and is to be in- augurated on the return of Ring Louis to Munich.—Ga/ignani 's Messenger.
