Love's Mirage. By Daisy Hugh Pryce. (Greening and Co. 6s.)—Miss
Pryce is not so readable on the Nile as she is in the harem of "The Pasha" at Constantinople. Still, there is such a fascination about that ancient river that the baldest account of a Nile voyage is acceptable, if only for the sake of the delightful memories it evokes. Miss Pryce takes us cheerily over the tourist-trodden paths, and if she weaves in a commonplace love- story and an incredibly melodramatic Baroness, that at any rate will give people some jam with their powder. Opinions, how- ever, may differ as to which is the poirder and which the jam.
