Tiaz Court has passed the week at Windsor. The Queen and Prince Albert, with the Duke and Dutchess of Nemours and the Prince of Leiningen, attended as usual, left Buckingham Palace at six minutes after three o'clock on Monday; and, travelling by the Great Western Railway, arrived at the Castle by ten minutes past four. The Royal Children had been sent down earlier in the day, with the Dowager Lady Lyttehon. The Dutchess of Kent also repaired to Frog- more; and joined the party at the Castle daily. A numerous party of guests arrived on Monday, with fresh relays every day: among the visiters were, Prince George of Cambridge, the Count De St. Aulaire, the Earl of Aberdeen, Sir Robert and Lady Peel.
The dinner on Tuesday and the subsequent days became a banquet, set out in St. George's Hall, with music, and splendid displays of plate.
On Tuesday, and again an Thursday, a numerous party left the Castle for Ascot Races.
On Wednesday, the Queen and her companions inspected the regiments of Horse Guards and Coldstream Guards in the Great Park. Her Majesty rode a charger, and wore a dress which was a compromise between a lady's riding costume and a military uniform—a blue habit with metal buttons and a velvet collar, the star of the Garter, a Field-Marshal's aiguillette on the shoulder, and a military cap trimmed with gold.
The daily amusements have been diversified by visits to the Dutchess of Kent :at Frogmore walks and drives, rides in a double-seated droshka sent to Prince Albert by the Emperor of Russia—first tried by Prince Albert and the Duke of Nemours, then by the Dutchess with her husband, and eventually by the Queen and the Dutehess. Yesterday, the whole party at the Castle drove to Virginia Water; the chief carriage being the char-a-bane given to Queen Victoria by King Louis Philippe.
'The Queen and Prince Albert, with the Duke and Datchess of Nemours and the Prince of Leiningen went to the Italian Opera on Saturday..
Early in the week, ;he Queen Dowager left town for Bushy Park; the Duke and .Dutchess of Cambridge, for Kew.
