LETTERS Diana, Princess of Wales
Sir: I am disappointed in you. I have been a loyal reader and subscriber for many years. The Spectator always prompts great discus- sion in our household, and frequently chal- lenges and provokes us. This time, I fear, you have gone too far. A snide and pompous issue (6 September) in the imme- diate aftermath of the tragic death of Diana, Princess of Wales was singularly inappropriate (comparing Althorp with Graceland indeed). I would suggest that your• views reflect those of an embattled establishment which, I trust, is passing away. Both your editorial and Andrew Roberts's article are unworthy.
