The Competition

THE Editor offers a prize of five guineas for the most practical suggestions, written legibly on a postcard, on " If I were the Editor of the Spectator." The Editor will welcome any sug- gestions as to causes in which the Spectator might interest itself, with reasons why it should do so. Competitors are encouraged to criticize the general outlook of the paper. The closing date for this competition will be Friday, October 19th.
