NAJU OF THE NILE. By H. E. Barns. (Putnam. as.
6d.)—The most remarkable thing about this big and fully- illustrated book of African adventure, written by the wife of a well-known explorer, is its price—three and sixpence. It describes the career of a young Swahili prince, who pushed out to conquer a kingdom for himself, and succeeded by his gifts as a leader in fights of spear and bow against gorillas, lions and other great game. Without literary merit, it interests by the power to construct pictures from the information given by one who knew Central Africa most minutely.
