Making Freeman

Best wishes to Britain's former ambassa- dor to Washington and certified socialist establishment figure John Freeman, who has been made Chairman and Chief Executive of London Weekend Television instead of Aidan Crawley who creeps upstairs as some-

thing called President. .

John Freeman should make LWT profitable but my tiny worry is that after the lush life in Washington on the British taxpayer he may, like many socialists, not believe that a high degree of economy for its own sake is a virtue and leads to success.
