Vistas. By William Sharp. (F. Murray, Derby.)—This is a gloomy
book, not always intelligible, but when it is intelligible, distinctly unwholesome. There is a certain subject of which an ancient writer, who, whatever else he may have been, was certainly a great moralist, says, " Let it not be once named among you?, Mr. Sharp seems to have a difficulty in writing about anything else; or, if he does, this is pretty sure to come in, as King lharles's Head into Mr. Dick's memorial.
